DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital. Take this time to relax and recover from your journey, as you prepare for the adventure ahead. If time permits, you can explore Arusha’s local markets, coffee plantations, or cultural attractions.

Overnight Stay: Kibo Palace Hotel, Arusha

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Game Drive

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The Tarangire River, a permanent water source, attracts abundant wildlife, making this park one of Tanzania’s hidden gems.

After an exciting day, head to Karatu Villas Lodge, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing evening with a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti – Exploring the Central Plains

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most famous wildlife destination. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you might spot wildlife along the way, including Maasai herders tending to their cattle. Upon arrival in Serengeti’s Central Region, embark on your first game drive, tracking lions, leopards, and elephants.

Check into Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp, where you’ll enjoy a warm meal and a night under the stars.

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti – Predator Territory

Wake up to the sounds of nature and set off for a full-day safari in Serengeti. Your expert guide will take you deep into the park, ensuring the best chances to spot predators in action.

Return to Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp, where you’ll enjoy a campfire dinner and a peaceful night in the wilderness.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ndutu – Witness the Great Migration

After breakfast, depart for Ndutu, the prime location for the Great Migration calving season (December–March). During this period, thousands of wildebeests give birth, attracting lions, cheetahs, and hyenas in search of easy prey.

Day 6: Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu – Predator Action

Spend the entire day exploring Ndutu’s grasslands, woodlands, and marshes while following the migration herds and predators.

Day 7: Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater – Wildlife Haven

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich locations. Descend 600 meters into the crater, where over 25,000 animals roam freely.

Day 8: Karatu to Kilimanjaro Airport – Departure

After a relaxing breakfast at Karatu Villas Lodge, take some time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before starting your journey back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). On the way, you may stop for some last-minute souvenir shopping or a cultural visit to a local Maasai market to experience the vibrant community life.
